Cover reveal for THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL!

My newest book, The Way You Make Me Feel, is about Clara Shin, a prankster who is sentenced to work on her father’s food truck, The KoBra, after one of her jokes goes too far. There, she has to contend with her uptight classmate, Rose, and the boy named Hamlet (yes, Hamlet!), who is totally crushing on her. It’s NOT the carefree summer Clara had in mind . . . and what if taking this summer seriously means she has to leave her old self behind?

Clara’s story is ultimately about falling in love and finding yourself in the places you’d never thought to look.

I’m so excited about its release and I can’t WAIT for you to read it!

When it was time to talk about the cover, I had a clear idea of what I wanted—and several mood boards to back me up (once a designer, always a designer):

A Korean American girl.
LA sunsets.
Summers feels.
Maybe a food truck reference.
A lil’ bit of romance.

My patient and amazing designer, Elizabeth Clark, took note, got to work, and when I saw what she’d come up with, I literally screamed.

I think you will, too.

I think this cover nails it, do you? How much do you guys love it? I stare at it about 800 times a day.

The Way You Make Me Feel is available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Indiebound and is out May 8, 2018!

The countdown begins.

  1. Ahhhh everything is so aesthetically pleasing from the colors to the girl’s pose to the title font. I am very much looking forward to reading!

On a side note, where would I be able to see other works by your designer Elizabeth Clark or get in touch? (I’m a designer-in-training hehe)

  2. Ahhh everything is so aesthetic from the colors to the girl’s pose to the title font. I can’t wait to read! I recently discovered your other book I Believe in a Thing Called Love and I haven’t read it yet, but now these are both on my TBR.

On a side note, does your designer Elizabeth Clark have a website or a way of getting in touch with her? Because I would love to see more of her stuff! (I’m a designer-in-training hehe)
